CHASHAKU (SPOON)

In Japan Matcha tea is revered

The tea is in fact so highly prized that it enjoys its very own ceremony

An intrinsic and influential part of Japanese tradition, the ceremony ensures Matcha is prepared with due attention and care

The long, thin spoon is called a ‘chashaku’. (Note how, like, chashitsu our name derives from this word)

We have chashaku available in traditional bamboo wood and a more modern darker ‘purple’ wood finish
