Heavy-roast oolongs are more complex and require traditional farming techniques that modern farming cannot replicate.
Hong Shui is a highly oxidized Oolong (60%) and therefore a rarity.
It is grown at an elevation of 700m at the birthplace of Hong Shui – Lu Gu in Nantou County, Taiwan.
Hong Shui is unlike other tea in 2 ways
> The reddish hue to the edge of the leaf is stunning
> The complex flavour includes roasted nut, honey and a sugarcane sweetness reminiscent of baked fruit.
How to sum it up in one word? Divine.
Cost Per Cup ~ 36p
